"Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience."
- Albert Einstein

My name is Michelangelo, and I’m a .NET developer.

The year was 2011 when the curiosity finally struck me, years of tinkering, troubleshooting and knowing what a <b> tag was (thanks MySpace) I decided I wanted more. I was certainly aware that being a “computer programmer” was a thing but I had no idea how to get started. With no frame of reference or guidance I just googled “how to write software”.

After countless late nights following various tutorials, I finally had something to show for my efforts. I called it MULTIPLY. It was a small game that generated 10 multiplication problems and quizzed the user. It even had an ASCII multiplication table.

Very soon after that first console application, I had the good fortune of finding work with a local company that did a mix of general IT, tech troubleshooting and .NET development. The owner helped jump start my career, he taught me years worth of knowledge and experience in a short amount of time. This is when I fell in love with the .NET Framework. The years spent since then have all been dedicated to learning all I could about writing clean, efficient and scalable enterprise software with .NET.
